Botanical Gardens Circuit
Can park your car: Regatta grounds; CBD; on the Domain.
Cross the Memorial Bridge from the cenotaph.
At bottom of Memorial bridge cross a road to the start Soldiers Memorial Avenue. The avenue winds around above the highway. On your right you will see a few buildings. One is the zookeeper’s cottage.
The Soldier Memorial Avenue meanders north. Sun should be ahead of you.

Left: TCA ground and Derwent Athletic Centre. They are both above you and towards the mountain.
Just before Soldiers Memorial Ovals is an intersection of tracks.
Left track takes you to community playground, public barbeques and public toilets.
Right track goes through grasslands gully to the RTBG. The track goes past some shady trees to a road. Cross the road to a little shaded man-made structure. It is at the top of grasslands gully. A track winds down the gully. The track crosses a creek and finishes at a carpark.
The carpark road circles the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (RTBG).
At the road turn right. You will arrive at the main gates of RTBG.
The RTBG has very good signs, maps, public toilets and food.
Exit RTBG at lower carpark.
Carefully cross the road to the bike track. Follow bike track right. Sun behind. River on your left. Mountain on your right.

Finish back at Regatta grounds: Cenotaph, Queens battery, Hobart diversion tunnel, John Colvin Stand (public toilets).
