1804: John Ingle and Edward Lord arrived with Lt Gov David Collins.
1811: Ingle Hall built by Mr Lord.
1814: Rev Knopwood wrote in his diary for November:
A great ball and supper was given by Mr and Mrs Lord to all ladies and gents in the colony, the greatest dinner given in the colony.
1831: Mr Lord sold the building to John Ingle as part of a debt.
1846-1849: School house. Hutchins School.
1850-1890: Household residence. Moore et al
1890-early 1900s: Tasmanian Coffee palace.
1935: Boarding House
1950-1962: State government library.
1962: Building owned by Davies Brothers, owners of the Mercury newspaper.
Today: The Mercury Print Museum.
