1802: Charles Gaylor was born in Ottery St Mary Devon in England.
1823: Married Frances Elizabeth Dufour in Gloucester. Occupation: Publican.
1825: Sentenced to death for forgery in Cardiff, Wales. His conviction was commuted to transportation to NSW for life and he was sent to the prison hulk Justitia at Woolwich on 17 June 1825.
Transported to Van Diemens Land with 172 other convicts.

1825: He was married and applied for his family to be brought out to Van Diemens Land. I do not know how many children were apart of this family. I know he married for the second time in 1833. I am assuming Frances passed away.

1833: Married Phillis Blyth, she was a widow. Phillis and Charles had 12 children. Phillis died in 1869 aged 65.
